I’m pleased to have the opportunity to communicate with you at the start of what promises to be an exciting quarter. The marquis event for Q2 is our annual user conference, Kaseya Connect. Space is filling up quickly; so if you haven’t already registered and wish to attend, don’t delay! I look forward to seeing many of you in Las Vegas this May and hope that you’ll consider attending.
Early in my career, I had the privilege of working for Ray Noorda at Novell. I learned much from Ray, including a perspective on corporate priorities that I have never forgotten. On this topic of priorities, Ray would clearly state that customers were number one, employees were number two, and shareholders were number three. Simple, but very wise. In the year and a half that I have been back at Kaseya, I see evidence every day that this spirit is alive and well. While not always perfect, decisions are made every day that strive to move our products, our services and our policies in greater alignment with our customer community. The Kaseya Connect event is a week that is the embodiment of the spirit of holding our customers as our number one priority.
Five years ago we began the tradition of a global user conference. Coupled with Kaseya Connections, our public online community, the conference provides an excellent, and critical, opportunity to have an open dialog with our customers and partners. With an initial attendance of around 100, this year we will approach 700 attendees, representing the bulk of the 20+ countries in which we operate. Kaseya Connect 2012 will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel and Spa in Las Vegas from May 1st through May 4th.
As I look at the program we’re planning, three central themes strike me:
We’ll have the most diverse group of customers and partners that we have ever had in attendance. With twice the attendance of last year, our global attendance will reach an all time high. Moreover, we have more industries and customer segments represented than ever before. Our MSP customers, corporate IT customers, IT consultants, technology vendors, and business consultants will all be in attendance. The perspectives that we have the opportunity to hear and learn from are almost limitless. The networking opportunities for those that come are many and the nuggets of business and technical insight are there for the asking.
The content of the conference reflects your input. In addition to the always popular technology labs where the newest technologies are showcased and tips and techniques can be discussed and shared, our vendor showcase will offer twice the vendor participation and with it the latest in technologies and services that are sure to spark conversation and pave the way for incredible opportunities. The sessions themselves will include a great mix of customer and partner testimonials, deep dives into the technology, and business topics that are sure to offer opportunities to streamline and expand the business associated with IT systems management within the Kaseya ecosystem.
Of course, we will have exciting product news to share, including an advancement of our Kaseya platform, 6.3, that has a number of exciting new capabilities. We’ll also begin rolling out our partner programs that will benefit the entirety of our customer base and, we believe, take our commitment to our customers to a new level.
Our customers are number one on our priority list. We all read the community, and enjoy the opportunities to speak with and learn from you directly at events all over the world. Even as I write this, I am flying to Europe to participate in a UK user event. I know that collectively, you keep us honest and ensure that our development and our company evolution continue with your needs held foremost in our mind.
